A bit of a curate’s egg, this one. Its beautifully shot, and there’s lots of pretty landscapes. Unfortunately, I couldn’t feel any empathy for any of the various poshoes, and all normal people were depicted as either loyal subjects prepared to die for their queen or ignorant dupes of preachers of hate, without a thought in any of their collective heads. So it ended up just being one event after another without me caring much.
On the plus side, there was a trailer for The Favourite, which is finally coming out next week, and seems to have a much less servile attitude to those in power.
