Shall we get the positive things out of the way? This is a righteous film which is very much on the right side of the scandalous issue of Conversion Therapy and the pseudo-clinics that are still allowed to operate in many US-American states.
But god, is it dull
Jared, the boy who is erased by conversion therapy, never seemed to have much about him to start with. Its not just that his idea of a good evening is sitting in front of a telly playing Mortal Kombat. For someone who is supposed to be a sensitive writer, he never has anything worth saying
All of which reaps dramatic consequences. You want to feel sorry for him, but in the face of all this blandness its really hard to be all that bothered.
Nice that they tried though. File under worthy but very very dull
